OFFICE HOURSThe office is open 8:30 a.m. to 12 Noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please direct calls for appointments to the office during these hours so that we may use your chart as a reference.APPOINTMENTS(PHONE: 239-592-0373)Office hours are by appointment only we make every effort to adhere to our schedule. Unfortunately emergencies do occur and take precedence over all other activities. Operations also may take longer than anticipated. We will make every effort to notify you ahead of time when we know we are going to run late. Occasionally we will have to reschedule patients. We request your indulgence and co-operation whenever this occurs. If x-rays are necessary they will be obtained here in the office at the time of your appointment. Our Doctors will interpret the films and discuss the findings with you at the same time. Should another medical doctor request to review your x-rays we would be happy to mail copies. If therapy treatments are indicated appointments will be arranged. CANCELLATION OF APPOINTMENTSIf you cannot keep an appointment at least 24 hours notice should be given to this office to cancel the appointment. This courtesy on your part makes it possible to give an appointment to another patient who desires to see the doctor.EMERGENCIESIf you should have an orthopaedic emergency during a time when our office is closed our answering service (239-592-0373) knows how to reach us. Please do not arrive at the emergency room without calling the doctor beforehand.TELEPHONEAs we receive a great number of calls each day we have instructed our assistants to handle all incoming telephone traffic. This allows our doctors to attend to our office patients with a minimum of interruptions. Our assistants are well trained to take information from callers and relate this information to the doctor. After receiving directions from the doctor the information will be related to you. Very often it is impossible to make a decision about a problem over the telephone and you will be asked to come in and be seen. This, of course, is to insure proper treatment.PRESCRIPTIONS & REFILLSOur office policy is not to refill prescriptions after hours as we do not have access to our patient records after hours. Please call back during regular office hours for prescription refills. |
