Hip Replacement Patient

Dear Dr. Bertram,
You did a total hip replacement last year on my left side using the Accolade Stem and it has improved my quality of life. The day after my surgery I was walking a few steps and continued to improve everyday. There was very little pain. My recovery time was remarkable. I say this because the year prior to this surgery a different doctor did my right hip and I was not allowed to walk for three weeks. My recovery was difficult and I was in much pain during the recovery. The differences between these two surgeries were as night and day.
