Dear Doctor Bertram,
While it is, indeed, most appropriate to write this letter of appreciation, it is equally if not more important to acknowledge not only surgical excellence (which, in my opinion, would be difficult to overstate), but also to express my gratitude for your willingness to stay on the cutting-edge of both technology and procedural process that allows for the continual refinement and improvement in total patient care (the new process/procedure for improved pain management serves as but one of the significant examples of your personal commitment to knowledge growth and the delivery of the very best care, specifically tailored to each and every, unique patient requirement).

Having enjoyed some modest success in athletics, I have had – unfortunately – the opportunity, i.e., necessity, to meet more than a few Orthopedic Surgeons (both hips, total back, etc.). Simply stated, your excellent surgical skills are complemented by your patience, willingness and ability to share with the patient an accurate assessment of what is to be accomplished and the realistic time frame within which the patient can expect to progress.

I would most assuredly be re-miss if I did not include in this acknowledgement a recognition of both the professionalism and positive, caring attitude of your fine Staff! While I will not attempt to list each by name, "Miriam" serves as a wonderful example of professionalism, combined with (her) strong interpersonal skills that represent the embodiment of everyone that makes up the Staff at the Bertram Total Joint Centers!
