The international community recognizes Boston as an excellent medical center. My scheduled total knee replacement surgery with Dr. Richard Scott, head of orthopaedic surgery at New England Baptist Hospital was the perfect decision. During my pre-assessment appointment, I casually asked Dr. Scott if he knew of a surgeon on the Southwest Florida area. His face lit up. "One of the best doctors I have trained is in the Naples area. His name is H. Morton Bertram III, MD, and I would highly recommend him."
And so would I! A change in my plans required surgery in the Naples, FL area. My retirement as a dance teacher (Greater Boston, Rivers Music school, Boston Ballet, etc.) was because the many years of athletic intensity required to teach up to 17 classes a week had taken their toll. Beyond arthroscopic surgery on both knees (by Dr. T. Martin, chosen as Best of Boston), I had a knee that would not respond.
I know "Miracle Doctor" may sound exaggerated, but to me, the results of my total knee replacement surgery, utilizing platelet gel, was nothing short of a miracle. Now when my legs dance, my soul dances, too, pain free.
Thank you Dr. Bertram. Your attentive, individual attention and skill, plus your whole Bertram Total Joint Center staff's caring attitude proves you are, as Dr. Scott in Boston said, "one of the best."
Sincerely,
